An adventure begins

I'm about to embark on a new adventure. One I hear is life changing.
My bags are packed, and I'm about as ready as I can be for this trip. 26 days in Ethiopia, on a volunteer trip with my company. The trip is part of a public/private partnership with PEPFAR. My company has been doing these for the last 5 years or so, in various locations around Africa.

There are 4 of us are on this trip. The goal of this trip to to provide training on setting up a Specimen Referral System. We will be training local lab technician's, clinicians and postal couriers on the importance of a Quality System, safe handling and proper documentation in regards to lab samples.

I am thrilled to be a part of this team...but at the same time, 26 days is a long time to be away from hoe. I'm sure I'll get home sick, but from the sounds of it I will be so busy the time will fly by fast.

I can't wait!
